#6: You need to do this before the year ends
1. Set 5 big goals. [Big, hairy, audacious goals](https://www.jimcollins.com/article_topics/articles/BHAG.html), if you will.
2. Be specific.
3. Break them down into something you can track on a month-to-month basis. Remember, what get’s measured gets done.
4. Set rewards for yourself at each milestone (but don’t go crazy).
5. Define your *whys*. Make them honest and clear — they’re your own goals after all.
Boom. You just did better than all New Year’s Resolution-ers because **you clearly defined your 2021 goals with one extra month to devise more ways to effectively tackle it.**
Lastly, write all the planning and the tracking down. Your brain is a terrible office, and there’s nothing more helpful than writing down your thoughts for safekeeping. And if you don’t, then…
